About this event
Join us for a different take on the annual AMR Picnic. This time, you don’t need to bring any food! We have it all handled for you.
We’ll take a short scenic drive to our destination, the incredible Rambler Ranch in Elizabeth, CO. Covering over 60,000 square feet across five buildings, Rambler Ranch is home to the most extensive private collection of American Motors Corporation (AMC), predecessor company cars and trucks, as well as other vehicles and marketing memorabilia. It includes prototypes, concepts, race cars, unique one-offs, and popular cars spanning over a century of automotive history. The collection features hundreds of vehicles displayed throughout the wooded property, along with a restoration shop and exhibits showcasing Kelvinator and other antique appliances, vintage clothing and accessories, a Sinclair gasoline station, a 1960s diner, and even an entire apartment decorated in authentic 1960s style.
Oh, and they have a beautiful picnic area, complete with a store selling cold drinks and (included with your registration) and ice cream (on your own). Catering will be provided by Famous Dave’s BBQ and is also included with your registration, as is admission to the entire collection.
The $55pp registration includes all food and beverages, as well as admission to the entirety of the collection.
We will meet at the Park & Ride in Monument, just north of the intersection of CO-105 and Woodmoor Drive. Please plan to arrive between 10:00 and 10:15 AM for check-in and gathering. A brief drivers meeting will begin at 10:30 AM, and we will depart promptly at 10:45 AM for the scenic drive to Rambler Ranch.
