AMR SANTA FE / TAOS TOUR
Friday June 6th - Monday June 9th
Registration $350 Per Person + lodging listed below.
For our next adventure, AMR East and AMR West are headed South.
We will be departing from Porsche Colorado Springs on Friday morning, driving through Florence, Rye, and Walsenburg, with a lunch stop at Calvillo’s Mexican Restaurant in Alamosa. The AMR West members will meet up with us for lunch and join the tour from there.
After lunch, and with our Western friends in tow, we will make our way through La Jara, Bountiful, across the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, through Taos and finally arrive at our reserved parking in the garage at La Fonda on the Plaza in Santa Fe.
Friday night will bring a happy hour sponsored by Big Mission Automotive and dinner catered by La Fonda.
Saturday morning will start with a continental breakfast at La Fonda. Following breakfast, the day is yours to explore Santa Fe and the surrounding area. The Santa Fe Plaza, historic churches of Santa Fe, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Sky Railway, art galleries, Santa Fe National Forest, Santa Fe Farmers Market, and shops on Lena Street. For those wanting to drive on Saturday, Dave Arnold has put together a nice self-guided route to a scenic overlook with a total drive time of 1:19.
Sunday morning, we will reconvene as a group and head toward Taos, departing late morning. We will stop for lunch at Rancho de Chimayo, then the High Road, New Mexico 522 and NM 38 around Wheeler Peak and end the day at the Taos Inn. Dinner will be catered by the Taos Inn.
